What to Wear/Bring:

Dress in layers to provide enough warmth while getting the boats ready on shore and launching them. This allows you to reduce a layer once you are warmed up in the boat. Loose fitting clothing is not good as it can get caught in the sliding seat or snag your hands during the rowing stroke. Additionally, bring a set of dry clothes to change in to after you're done rowing. There will be secure storage on-site for bags.

Sneakers and socks + "Crocs" shoes or rain boots - we launch the boats by walking them in the water over a rocky beach. So, having footwear you can get wet is a real benefit.

Sun protection - sun screen, hats, sunglasses, etc.

Water bottle

Weather and Safety:

Excessive wind makes it difficult, and at times, unsafe to row. So, there is a chance that the Learn to Row might have to take place exclusively on land. In addition, if the weather is too severe, the rowing day may be cancelled.
